Thom lives and breathes Navient’s values through his development of visual communications for use both inside and outside the company. His favorite responsibility is the continuous development and communication of the Navient brand. “It’s an exciting challenge to tell the complex story of how Navient works in so many different ways to help customers succeed,” says Thom. “The backbone to any brand is its values. I strive to illustrate Navient’s values in all the work I do.”

Thom deliberately focuses on customer-centricity, leadership, integrity, proactivity, and stability when making business decisions. “My team is only successful if the groups we support are successful. It doesn’t matter if we are creating a logo, a graphic illustrating one of Navient’s business processes, or a brochure to explain our capabilities — the message must be sincere, easy to understand, and true to who we are.”
